For the artistic and professional delving into rock music as a motor of the rebellious mindset of the young generation in the transitional period;

Special Mention to the documentary Theo’s Formula, dir. Nikolay Vasilev, production: Screening Emotions – Poli Angelova, Nikolay Todorov

For showing the bright mind and talent of a Bulgarian teacher, who has succeeded regardless of the system in eliciting the potential of Bulgarian intellect at the international level;

Special Mention to the animated film Happiness, dir. Dimitar Dimitrov, production: Metamorfoza-N

For the artistic metamorphoses and the noir aesthetics;

Plovdiv Municipality Animated Film Award goes to Viola, writer/dir. Sotir Gelev, production: Four Hands Ltd. – Penko Gelev, Sotir Gelev

For the philosophical reading of a parable of love and freedom of choice and for the created fairylike atmosphere;

Plovdiv Municipality Documentary Award goes to What Colour Is This World, dir. Ralitza Dimitrova, production: B Plus Film Ltd – Plamen Gerasimov

For the skilful visualisation of the existential poetic world of Danila Stoyanova;

Best Animation Debut goes to The Last Day, dir. Dalibor Rajninger, production: Compote Collective Ltd – Vessela Dantcheva

For the recreated poetic world of a lonely man;

Best Documentary Debut Award goes to An Icarus from Kocherinovo, writer/dir. Emil Spahiyski, production: Contrast Films – Katya Trichkova

For the authentic and delicate view of the world of a daydreamer and his tough life;

Cartoon Designer Award goes to Pencho Kunchev for his Roses in the Night, production: Nu Boyana Film – Yariv Lerner

For the powerful impressionistic language of the metamorphosis erotically blending human body with nature;

Best Documentary Director goes to Boya Harizanova for her A Feeling of Revulsion, production: Incoms Project Ltd – Plamen Yordanov

For skilfully running the gamut of a variety of documentary filmmaking devices;

Jury Honourable Mention for Animated Film goes to Paper Kite, production: Koulev Film Production – Anri Koulev, dir. Assia Kovanova, writer Hristo Ganev

For the neat narrative and the poetic imagery of the film;

Jury Honourable Mention for Documentary goes to Kalin and the Jail Team, production: Isograph – Glina Shtarbeva, Soul Food – Andrea Stanoeva, dir. Petko Gyulchev, writer Tonislav Hristov

For the accomplished cinematic narrative of the mission of an unconventional person breaking through social conventions and views;

Golden Rhyton for Best Animated Film goes to A Tree of Iron, production: TF & P, writer Slav Bacalov, dir. Andrey Tsvetkov

For the philosophical rethinking of the flight of the spirit, the power of empathy, and the vivid graphic expressiveness;

Golden Rhyton for Best Documentary goes to Pawn Sacrifice, production: ProFilm – Assen Vladimirov, writer/dir. Assen Vladimirov

For the masterly multilayered narrative of the fates of man and nations, swept by the historical whirlwind of the age.
