In February 2025, the world marked the 20th anniversary of The Gates by Christo and Jeanne-Claude in Central Park. Evgenia Atanasova’s film offers a personal reflection on the impact of their monumental temporary artworks. Through archival materials, interviews with Christo, and new footage, the film reveals the complexity of their art, their deep connection to New York, and the ways ephemeral works continue to live on through memory and technologies like augmented reality (AR). 

MIGLENA ATANASOVA graduated from NATFA with a degree in Film and Television Editing. She has worked at BNT since 1986 and became director of the program “Panorama” in 2000. Her films include “St. Patrick’s Day”, “Conversations with Grandpa” (2017), “Air Alarm” (2018), and “Ferdinand – The Buried King” (2024).
