“I Am Denis” is a short documentary about a young Ukrainian refugee trying to adapt to his new environment in Bulgaria.

ORLIN MILCHEV was born in 1987 in Sofia. He graduated from NATFA in 2016 and completed a masterclass at IFA (Italy) under Béla Tarr. His graduation film Dobri was selected for the Jameson Competition at Sofia Film Fest and the VGIK Festival in Moscow, winning Best Bulgarian Short Film at the Early Bird Festival. His feature debut is The Art of Falling (2022). His short film Chocolate won Best Bulgarian Short Film at Sofia Film Fest 2024.
