The film follows the life and work of Dr Stamen Grigorov, who discovered the bacterium. His family sent him to study in Geneva where, despite financial difficulties, he achieved the remarkable success of isolating the microorganisms responsible for lactic acid fermentation, namely Lactobacillus bulgaricus. In 2007, Dr Grigorov’s descendants opened the Museum of Yoghurt in his native village of Studen Izvor, in the Tran region.

TSVETOMIR MATEV was born in Lovech. He graduated in Film Direction and currently works in cinema, television and the derivative genres of film art. He also produces music videos, commercials and TV formats.
