Through the brightest examples in the history of Bulgarian poetry, the film explores the territory where the woman was the source of inspiration for the man. In the context of today’s ideas of equal rights between sexes and extreme beliefs that we must stop using words that separate humans based on their gender (such as Man, Woman, Father, Mother), the project explores the question of whether we will keep using the word ‘MUSE’?

IVAN ALEKSIEV graduated in Film Studies from the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. His PhD dissertation was on the topic of ‘Hungarian Cinematography as a Specific Element of Eastern European Cinema’. He specialised in Cinema and Television Direction at the Krastyo Sarafov Academy. He directed the documentary, ‘We Loved Them So Much’ (2020).
