Angel, Tsvetan, Albert, with their teams, are the last of the Iron Boys of romanticism. They restore and maintain the only remaining steam locomotives. They may have pet names for all their engines, but to have them look so thrilling and in good condition means heavy work for the boys. If for most people ‘an engine driver’ is just a professional title, for these men, it is their life. ‘Iron Boys’ tells the story of their perspective on the world and the romanticism of steam.
