The film blends together the stories of natives of the Rhodopean town of Smolyan. Full of emotions, they reveal and describe their extremely interesting fates,. Out of several thousand people living in the new town centre, only four open the doors to their homes, and their hearts, to recount more of love, the will to live, the theatre, and other recollections.

SVETOSLAV DRAGANOV is a Bulgarian scriptwriter, director and producer. His films include ‘Life Is Wonderful, Isn’t It?’, awarded the MDR Film Prize at the 2001 DOK Leipzig; ‘The Merry Boys’, screened at the 2003 International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA); ‘Young at Heart’, winner of the 2003 Prix Europa Special; ‘Amateurs’, the 2005 Golden Rhyton for Best Bulgarian Documentary; and ‘Life Almost Wonderful’, were shown in the 2013 IDFA feature-length competition, with special mentions at ZagrebDox and Sofia Film Fest in 2014. His fiction debut, ‘Humble’, won the Special Jury Award at the 2022 Sofia Film Fest.
