An honest and multifaceted portrait of this so complex, rational and irrational, intellectual and emotional act of the human being—forgiveness. The documentary presents a realistic and multilayered analysis of forgiveness through the major themes of religion, politics, art, education, and society, based on various documents, and achieved above all by crossing the viewpoints in direct conversations between recognised Bulgarian historians , theologians and clergy, critics, psychologists, and artists.

YASSEN GRIGOROV graduated from art academies in Switzerland, France and Bulgaria, and in Film Direction from the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. He is a writer and illustrator of books for children and adults, which have won him international recognition and awards. The recipient of the Union of Bulgarian Film Critics Award for his film ‘Small-Big’, as well as a Diploma of Merit to Bulgarian Children’s Cinema at the Golden Rose Festival. Scriptwriter, director and producer of the film, ‘Lily the Fish’.
