Four-year-old Miron is a silent observer of the daily routine, dreams and fears of his family after they left Ukraine. They are living in Sofia in temporary accommodation that has to be vacated by the end of March 2023. Despite their uncertain future, Miron’s mother Sveta does not lose hope that, by then, the war will be over and they will return home.

HRISTO SIMEONOV graduated in Film Direction from the Neofit Rilski Southwest University. He directed the short films, ‘The Son’, ‘Nina’ and ‘Dimo’s Forest’, screened at major international festivals, including those in Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere, Kraków, Dresden, Cottbus, Kiev, Bolbao, Trieste, Thessaloniki, Vienna, Tel Aviv, and Sofia. His film ‘The Son’ won him the 2016 Grand Prix for Short Film at Cottbus, the 2016 Bulgarian Film Academy Award and the 2016 Golden Rose Award. ‘Dimo’s Forest’ (2018) received the Golden Rose and was selected at IFF Clermont-Ferrand.
