The school in a remote mountain village educates 76 children – Roma, Bulgarian and Turkish. In a community burdened by poverty and unemployment, the school is an oasis of tolerance and kindness. Yet unless enrollment reaches the required minimum of 80, the school risks closure, threatening the very heart of the village and its fragile social balance.

SVETLA TSOTSORKOVA graduated in film directing at NATFA and the London Film School. Her films Life with Sophia, Thirst, and Sister premiered at Cannes, San Sebastian, Karlovy Vary, Telluride and won multiple awards. 

SVETOSLAV OVCHAROV is the author of books, theatre and TV plays, and has written and directed around 30 documentaries and seven feature films, screened at Cairo IFF, Sao Paulo IFF, Warsaw IFF, Haifa IFF and others. We Are All Children is their second documentary collaboration.
