Setting off in December 2021, Mikhail had no idea that his New Year’s journey would stretch on for years, taking him to new places, the outbreak of war, and ultimately to seeking political asylum. In this episode, the travelers who came to Sofia because of bureaucracy find themselves at Surva, among torches and bells. 

MIKHAIL FEKLISOV has been passionate about independent travel since the age of 18. He has visited 35 countries and traveled over a million kilometers. Until 2014 he worked as a director at Russian television, and his travel programs were broadcast until 2022. He has participated in television festivals and received awards from the “My Planet” and “Travel Film in Russian” festivals.
