A one-hour documentary about the life and activities of Krastyo Mirski, one of the most prominent professors of the recent past, teaching Theatre Direction at the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. Eighteen of his former students—now famous actors in Bulgarian cinema and theatre—share their memories. A director who graduated in Europe returns to Bulgaria to impart his experience and knowledge of how to make a different kind of theatre in the strictest Communist years and under the requirements of Socialist Realism.

VALENTINA FIDANOVA-KOLAROVA graduated from the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts with a Master’s in Film Direction. She is a Doctor of Film Studies, Film Art and Television, and an associate professor at NATFA. She has directed documentaries, popular science and feature films, and theatrical performances; written four books and a stage play; and had over sixty articles published in scientific and specialist magazines. A member of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers; the Union of the Journalists; the Union of Bulgarian Writers; Academica 21, the Association of Film, TV and Radio Screenwriters, and the Society of Film and TV Directors.
