Since the mid-19th century, the lynx in Bulgaria has been treated as an “unnecessary” animal and systematically exterminated. Prejudice and ignorance built a demonic myth around this elusive forest creature. Today, only a fragile and critically endangered population remains. The film creates a cinematic portrait of the lynx — a conservation appeal through art, or a dark chronicle of another irreversible act against nature.
