The film is inspired by the poetry of Alexander Vutimski – a Bulgarian poet from the generation of the 1940s. The main character lives in two realities: in the solitude of his room, from where he observes life outside through the window, and in the imaginary incarnation of his second self – the Blue Boy, with whom he shares the poetic world of his fantasy.

‘Vassil Gendov’ Annual Awards – Nomination for Best Animation

KATYA MANKOVA graduated in Animation from NATFIZ. She has worked as an animator and layout artist at different studios in Bulgaria and Hungary; has also contributed to productions for Warner Bros, and others. She has also created artwork and storyboards for TV commercials. As a director, artist, and animator, Katya develops her own short film projects. In 2017, she received the Debut Award (ex aequo) at the Golden Rhyton Festival.
