What attracts people from the richest countries in the world to a small and poor Eastern European country? What do they discover here when, at the same time, many Bulgarians emigrate abroad? Here they feel the living Bulgarian folklore tradition, which has long been lost in their countries.

SOFIA STOYCHEVA graduated in TV Journalism St Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia, before obtaining a Master’s in Bulgarian Philology. She specialised in Film Direction at the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, under Prof. Georgi Dyulgerov. ‘Soul Beyond Measure’ is her debut full-length film.
