A little boy with an exceptional gymnastic talent is taken on by an impresario who, after years of effort, turns him into a famous artiste. Obsessed with a longing for greatness, the artiste becomes cocksure. Striving for unattainable perfection, he rejects love and destroys himself.

MILKO LAZAROV graduated in Film and TV Direction from Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA), in the class of Prof. Vladislav Ikonomov. He taught experimental filmmaking and inscenation at NAFTA’s Film Faculty. Executive producer and director of the national television campaigns ‘The Great Bulgarians’ (2006–07, BBC/BNT), ‘The Big Read’ (2008–09, BBC/BNT); ‘Events of the 20th Century’ (2009–10, BNT), ‘The Manuscript’ (2015, BNT). Director of the full-length feature films ‘Alienation’ and ‘Àga’. International Jury Chair at the 2019 Golden Rose Film Festival, and member of the international jury at the 2019 BOSPHORUS Film Festival in Istanbul.

DIMITAR DIMITROV graduated in Animation Direction from Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, in the class of Prof. Donyo Donev. Director, production designer, animator, editor, co-writer and sound engineer, he has made seventeen short and medium-length animated films, which have been entered in over 450 international festivals for animation, short film, new media and video art, winning more than fifty awards.
