Few facts and widely circulated legends surround the name of Mara Buneva. But what were her real torments, and how does her dramatic fate become part of the history of female assassins?

RALITZA DIMITROVA graduated in Film Direction from the S.A. Gerasimov All-Russian University of Cinematography, Moscow. She has worked at the Vreme Documentary and Popular Science Film Studios in Sofia, and Bulgarian National Television. A freelancer for over twenty-five years, she has directed many documentaries and popular science films, children’s and musical TV programmes. She was awarded Best Director by the Bulgarian Film Academy; her films have been shown and won prizes at festivals in Bulgaria, Russia, Germany, Poland, Italy Kosovo, Greece, India, France, Japan, Portugal, Lithuania, Armenia, USA, and Spain.
