An unforgettable collection of characters from all around Europe stuck between their past and future, for whom their old ‘sotz’ [Socialist] cars are the most important members of their family—their true favourites, which give them hope and meaning in life. Their journey back and forth to the past and the future raises the question of identity, collective memory and the influence of propaganda, especially today.

BORIS MISSIRKOV and GEORGI BOGDANOV are internationally acclaimed Bulgarian cinematographers, directors, visual artists and photographers. Ideologists and founders of the AGITPROP Production Company, they are writers of visual campaigns, full-length documentaries, videos and short films, directors and cinematographers of AGITPROP’s most successful films.
